EXPLORATIONS
My journey has been shaped by THE willingness to embrace curiosity and wonder. PERMISSION TO PLAY AND EXPERIMENT HAVE LEAD ME TO KNOW MORE FULLY WHO I AM.

Practice and Ritual
“Knowledge is just rumor until it lives in the bones.” -Asaro Tribe
When I ran across this quote in Brene Brown’s work, it resonated as deep truth. I can get stuck seeking so much information about things that I don’t ever experience what I am learning. Practice and ritual have become a vital part of my own deep knowing. I often craft my own practices and enjoy working with others to discover what experiments and rituals they might need.
A few of my favorite practices are included on this page and you can find out more about my current explorations on my Instagram.

GUIDES AND POETRY
Companions and teachers often show up in my life at the exact moment I need them. Through their work including books, podcasts, on-line offerings, retreats and social media posts, I am shaped and challenged to find a little more of the “sound of the genuine” in my own soul. (Howard Thurman).
Poetry is a medium that bypasses my linear thinking and helps me to see something from another view. Whether it is reading poems of others or writing my own, poetry uncovers a world I might not notice.
My favorite poets and guides are listed below.

YOGA and Embodiment
I came to yoga as a way to help embody the contemplative practices I was discovering. As my love for yoga grew, I took the next step of doing Teacher Training. I seek to honor in my own practice and my classes yoga philosophy which originated in the Indus River Valley of East Asia. I teach weekly at a local studio, The Yoga Room in Auburn, AL.
Throughout the year, I often help guide myself and others into connecting their bodies to Earth’s rhythms. Embodied practices help us uncover the deep well of wisdom our bodies hold.

“You create a path of your own by looking within yourself and listening to your soul, cultivating your own ways of experiencing the sacred, and then practicing it. Practicing until you make it a song that sings you.”
— Sue Monk Kidd
